Dietbox

Dietbox is a technology company that develops nutrition software aimed at professionals in the field, facilitating the management of clinics and nutritional monitoring of patients.

The search page for nutritionists was designed to attract and retain new clients. Despite thousands of daily visits, the completion of scheduling appointments with nutritionists accounted for less than 4% of patients using the software.

For the project development, we held weekly checkpoint meetings with the technical development leadership to understand the limitations of the legacy system. I was responsible for coordinating the research and development of the project.

Context

The guiding question of the research was: Why isn't the current site working? After a quick survey on the nutritionist platform, asking how many patients were gained through the "Find Nutritionists" site, we realized that most nutritionists, despite having a profile on the site when signing up for Dietbox, did not receive any patients through it. However, the site consistently received many visits and various interactive clicks.

Based on this, our research strategy was divided into several stages:

  1. Conduct an objective heuristic analysis of the page.

  2. Map similar flows and other communication channels with patients and potential patients.

  3. Analyze page usage through heatmaps and screen recordings.

  4. Simultaneously, conduct a survey to understand what leads a potential patient to choose their preferred professional.
